I love it but it really REALLY bugs me that at a price of $300.00, I get metallic paint instead of actual metallic surfaces. It looks like the same old greenish gold paint they use on every action figure. I went and gold foiled some of my figures and it looks so much better. Actually, even when I pay as much as $15.00 for an action figure that should be about $5.oo, I really want the foil or chromed look. There are a lot of action figures out there, mass market, that have chromed metallic finishes and sell for less. I just want it for my fave hero as well and I really don't know why they don't give it to me at that price point. Okay, that's my rant, what can I say, I am a gay man, I like shiny things.

Dan, I agree - Wonder Woman's armor should be bright gold not bronze or whatever they use to paint it with. I, too have foiled or used a shinier metallic paint to customize a few of my duplicate figures and they look SO much better!

Thought this might be of interest to some of you:

Andy Bergholtz, who sculpted the Wonder Woman 1:4 scale statue has shared what the original, more aggressive sculpt looked like:

No laughing at the boobies, please. ;)

WOW! Thank you Jase! I'm SO glad they made her face less angry! So her outfit(or most of it) is sculpted under her cloth costume?

I've been in touch with the sculptor, Andy Bergholtz, and he was kind enough to grant me permission to share these photos of the work-in progress and individual components to the piece.

Photos may not be used without the sculptor's permission.

My pleasure! I also got a lot of inside information as to how he sculpted each piece, what product he used for different sections and why, etc. Very fascinating stuff!
