I really don't know much about Wonder Woman before the Bronze Age BUT I'm lurning! I am reading the book "History of the Golden Age Wonder Woman" and I just yesterday picked up "Wonder Woman Showcase"# 1 and that's all Silver Age stories, and I also have Diana Prince vol. 1(just before the BA ) on the way next month. I have a ton of Bronze Age comics (that I love) and go back to refrance often. That's why I think Wonder Woman is the best it's been in years now,(for me) it reminds me so much of the B.A. comics. There is a real"flash back" in the comic book now that SO reminds me of the TV show and the B.A. comics.

first became acquainted with the Wonder Woman comic book sometime aster Dr. William Moulton Marston's death, though Roberrt Kanniger was still putting by Charles Moulton up at the top of each story.

I think I am glad I came to it a bit later, after the Golden Age. (In my opinion, there was just too much bondage in the Golden Age.) WW spent too much time captured by her opponents, even if she eventually overcame them.

And many of the settings seemed just too Fairy Tail like. By the time I came on board, the Amazon was challenged by criminal gangs intent on robbing charities, and banks etc.... making her battles seem more contemporary to me.

Dr. Marstoncame close to creating a complex heroine, and full supporting program, what with her mother, and her sister Amazons on Paradise Island and all. And it all seemed so beasutifully coordinated together.

Bronze Age still continued many of these types of quests.

I always felt in my heart that the Diana Prince with no powers, no costume era would not last for very long, I know the comic book was not selling well and something very different had to be done.

Well, perhaps thanks to Dr. Marston's other degree (he was a lawyer as well.... the contract with DC said they had to keep publishing or loose their rights to Wonder Woman, we still have her, and LOOK WHERE WE ARE GOING TODAY.

I haver just learned that a second SHOWCASE WONDER WOMAN BOOK will be coming out (I think in September or October, and picking up with Wonder Woman # 118 from the first series.

A good way to get black and white reading copies of all these older stories at a reasonable price.
