Antony, when did the Wonder Woman Barbie release date go from October to December 8, 2008 ? I just looked on Barbiecollector.com and it still says "Coming in October" Please give me some info on whats going on. :? and ware you heard it from, Thank you.

I heard it from my contact Mattel and it's further confirmed on Toys R Us' website. I hope they end up being able to ship in October after all, but all these delays are ridiculous!

Bill Greening, the Mattel designer of the Wonder Woman Barbie doll, posted on the Barbie Fan Club this week that they just approved the production doll. He also said once that happens dolls typically appear about two months later, so it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to see the new Barbie as Diana doll. Hopefully, she'll be available for Christmas.

On a somewhat related note, Black Canary Barbie was delayed almost a month. She's now on backorder until Oct. 31. I hope these delays mean that Mattel is taking the time to get the dolls right.

Any idea when the WW Barbie is set to appear? I had heard January, but who knows?
I've got my Black Canary, Batgirl and Supergirl. Just waiting for Diana to complete my Barbie collection.

I recieved my Wonder Barbie on Monday and I just love her. Mattel did an excellent job. The metal WW symbol is perfect.

DC Direct should take note!

Our photos will be up later this week - one of the dolls my LCS got in was slightly damaged, so I'm waiting on a replacement to open and photograph. Everyone post photos of your WW Barbie here!
