Just a little note of introduction here from under the smogberry trees in Los Angeles, CA.
I'm somewhat new to this collecting hobby. I've had an interest in the character of Wonder Woman for fairly decent amount of time, starting when the she was appearing in the "Justice League" animated series. The recent, and fantastic, animated feature film of her just cemented my interest in the character, and I went so far as to visit a comic shop and pick up the "Rise of the Olympian" multi-issue story of the Wonder Woman comic book.
As to what started the collecting, I wandered into a post office one day and saw this really nice framed print of a first-day issue of a stamp devoted to Wonder Woman, along with some limited edition art to accompany the stamp (the stamp is on its own custom envelope). After that I saw various figurines/statues which I thought were pretty nice. I have several at this point and may buy more. One is a little bust, another is a "Cover Girls of the DC Universe" statue, which is just gorgeous (though I do have a small complaint about it, which I may address in another posting elsewhere...um... if I can find the thread devoted to it, again), and most recently, a small statue called "JLA (Wonder Woman #181) Cover To Cover Wonder Woman Statue" (nice pose of WW standing near a rather large skull, holding a sword aloft over her head). There are others I would like, but most are somewhat cost-prohibitive. I'll probably collect more, since I've "caught the bug" (indeed, I have some statues/comiquettes of other characters) as time goes on.
Nice to discover this site. I came across it whilst doing some research into one of the statues I was going to buy. I particularly like how you'll show the figures from multiple angles and close-ups. It really gives the collector a good sense of what he or she will be getting. OK, this has been long-winded enough. I imagine I will be visiting often.

EDIT: Whoops! forgot.. I also have the Wonder Woman DVD "maquette" statue. That was, uh, actually the first one I bought, so I'm surprised I forgot it. Really like it, too.
