Gale was thrilled to confirm during our interview that she had bagged the role of Wonder Woman. However, victory seems to have been cruelly snatched from her with the project, if not completely canned, certainly on ice for the foreseeable furture due to the ongoing screenwriters strike in the US.

Talking to Gale days later, she insists the project will still happen. 'I've been told by the studio and producers to keep fit, keep working on the stunt skills and be ready to live Wonder Woman when we get the go-ahead'. While she concedes she doesnt know when this will be she says rumours the file is dead are, as far as she's aware, unwarranted.

Whatever the outcome, Gale says "Even if the film never happens, I will always be rapt to have been cast as my all time favourite super hero Wonder Woman" to whom she does, with her glossy black tresses and atheletic frame bear an uncanny resemblence.
