Wonder Woman gets no "Action"from DC Direct! a open letter to Georg and DCD

Well, there was only ONE "new" DC Direct Wonder Woman figure(Trinity line) for the entire year of 2008! Shocking??? I know, It seems like DC Direct could have put more of her some ware this year with the 59 Batman and Superman figures Ware is our JLof A Wonder Woman??? Ware is the Adam Hughes Wonder Woman that was shown in Toy Fair??? Ware is our I.D. Crisis Wonder Woman??? and what about the Wonder Woman we never got in the C.O.I.E. line??? Oh yes, then there was the Jim Lee for tomorrow Wonder Woman we were told we would get but never did! And you have been in business for 10 years now and no Bronze Age Wonder Woman??? What's up with that? You need to get on it DC Direct! Your making even your biggest Wonder Woman supporter that will buy ANYTHING you make of Wonder Woman (usually 2 or 3 of the figures) want to stop collecting! You need to show Wonder Woman the same respect you give to Superman and Batman! I mean really ONE Wonder Woman Action Figure in 2008!! That's not a way to treat one of your "BIG 3" It's a slap in the face to Wonder Woman fans/collectors when the other 2 of the "Big 3" get an Action Figure almost every month! The only thing I have to look forward to from DC Direct this year is over priced statues. Here is the link: http://dcboards.warnerbros.com/web/thre ... 1&tstart=0

That thread is kinda the reason that I don't go to anything that isn't Wonder Woman focused anymore. Grant it I didn't read all of it... but what I did read ... blech. They can't tell me that there isn't a market for Wonder Woman products. I can never find them... so what they are making aren't meeting demand. I'm tired of the DC thinking that Superman and Batman are the only worthwhile characters.

I'd much rather have any of the female characters over Superman and Batman.

I know you don't like it wondereric, but that is my point of posting it, If we (the Wonder Woman fans) don't make our voices heard on the DC Direct board then they think it's okey to make 1 Wonder Woman figure a year and 40 Super/Batman figures a year. We have got to let them know this does not fly with Wonder Woman fans!

reposting my two cents:

Yes, Wonder Woman is not popular as Superman and Batman. I am not going to dispute that. However, she is there third most popular licensed property in merchandising (be it dolls, toys, clothing, or bed sheets). That isn’t something to be overlooked. DCD has a lot of great Wonder Woman statues, but a few more action figures in 2008 would be appreciated. And while I know it’s a generalization, but I asked my LCS guy about the Wonder Woman wave, and he said it was one of the better selling series over the last couple years (they only had two Circes and a Diana Prince figure left).

You are right. Sometimes I get discouraged when I feel like it's falling on deaf ears. Maybe getting this site out to all the Wonder Fans and then sending DC the memberlist will help!

Quite frankly, I think its sexist of merchendisers not to make just as many of Wonder Woman as her male counterparts...Afterall, the entire reason she was CREATED back in the 1940s was as a response to the barbaric male dominance of the comicbook industry.

I agree with Lynda, but I have noticed that lately every single day I get banned from the DC Direct Boards.

I have to un-plug my box that gives me my highspeed internet and wait 20 minutes, plug it back in and then I am allowed to post again. 2 hours Later I get banned again. I have to unplug my High Speed box to able to repost again.

I am nto sure who is doing that but I have notcied that if you post a love for Wonder Woman figures, Tonner or Mattel that is the crap that happens over there. I am thinking of not posting there ever again. I am tired of the "Anti-Gay" crap that goes on there too. they so they are Gay friendly but I am seeing otherwise.

Besides that they are sexist.

I can't really complain due to the fact dc direct has produced more wonder woman merchandise than any other company! And mattel will produce 1 and 1 artemis,I don't see them making another version unless in 3" or 12" form. It's crazy that dc direct hasn't made figures based on tv properties! They would sell out! The people who run warner which a big shakeup is goin on at moment, and brewer need to move on. we get watchman crap before a lynda carter figure?a Powergirl 13 inch before ww?
